The island tour of Menorca starts May, 25.
We board the ferry to Menorca in Alcudia Harbour. After arriving at Ciutadella (Menorca), we will be picked up by the bus to start our guided tour of the island, discovering the most picturesque and emblematic places: Monte Toro, Mahon, Binibeca and Ciutadella (in July and August the stop in Mahon is changed to Punta Prima, allowing time to swim). Then, we go back to the harbour to start our journey to Mallorca.
Ferry departure times: Mallorca (Alcudia), 08.00. Menorca (Ciutadella), 20.00
Discover the medieval style former capital of Menorca, with its cathedral and typical narrow streets and tall buildings in the old quarter. Enjoy a stroll along the small harbour and see the majestic remains of the old city wall. Time for shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing in one of the many central squares.
Have your cameras ready for the most photographed spot in Menorca! The village is a labyrinth of cobblestone paths, white houses and narrow archways. Stroll past the sleepy harbour where time seems to stand still.
3. Monte Toro
Monte Toro is the highest point in Menorca (358 meters) from which you will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the island and its coastline. The church has a beautiful courtyard and houses the statue of “the Virgin of Mountain Toro”; your guide will recount the famous legend which explains the history of the church and sanctuary.
4. Mahon (in July and August, we change to Punta Prima)
Mahon, the capital of Menorca has the largest natural harbour in europe, best seen from town center viewpoints. The elegant architecture is a legacy of the British domination in the 18th century. Local products include the international award-winning Mahon cheese, gin, and the famous “abarcas”- unisex sandals. In July and August we change the location and stop in Punta Prima instead, allowing time to swim.
